The “Heart of Praslin” is home to remnants of the original palm jungles of the Seychelles and has often been described as a “Garden of Eden” thanks to its secluded and mystical nature.

The park was placed under protection as far back as 1966, with over 1,400 trees of the legendary Coco de Mer falling under the protection of the Seychelles Government due to their uniqueness and that of the location.

The Coco de Mer, the largest seed in the world, is particularly admired by visitors, and is the reason for the National Park’s world heritage site status.

Anse Lazio, a perfect combination of fine powder-white sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and the shade of abundant palms, quite rightly voted one of the TOP TEN BEACHES IN THE WORLD, by Condé Naste Travel Magazine. A short drive, or leisurely – tough – bicycle ride from Le Duc de Praslin, Anse Lazio offers fantastic snorkeling, secluded coves and beachside cafes… You cannot visit Praslin and miss this delight!

You may also want to check out Anse Boudin and Anse La Blague, two nice wild beaches, or Anse Georgette, a nice, secluded beach accessible via Constance Lemuria hotel with prior access arrangement; talk to our reception desk.

From the hotel one can arrange excursions by boat which leave from the beach to the Bird nature reserve island of Cousin and Aride, snorkeling island of St Pierre, and giant tortoise island of Curieuse and other surrounding islands. Excursions leave directly from the beach and include guided tours and sumptuous BBQ.

There are 2 good dive centres at walking distance from the hotel – namely Whitetips and Octopus – from where you can explore the stunning ocean world of corals and exotic fish.

They are both PADI certified with experienced multilingual diving instructors for a safe and enjoyable practice for beginners as well as for confirmed divers.
